  • National Talent Search Examination
  •       NTSE 2010-11 was held on 30 January 2010, Rohit Gosain of class IV B secured national rank of 452.

  • Teacher Bringing Laurel to the School
  •       Ravinder Singh Dahiya, P.E.T teacher was selected to represent India in High Jump at XIX World Masters Athletic Championship Sacramento 2011, USA from 2nd July to 25th July,2011.He secured seventh position.

  • Golden Arrow Badge (THE NATIONAL AWARD)
  •       Vyakhya Prasad, VI A has received the prestigious Golden Arrow Badge (National Award), Bharat Scouts & Guides. The award was conferred on her by National Commissioner, Bharat Scouts & Guides.

  • Student as Blogger - in - Residence for a Site
  •       Prashansa Taneja, XII A has been recently commissioned by the India Site (www.theindiasite.com), owned by award wining British writer & historian Patrick French, to write for the site as their blogger – in – residence. Her article 'The languishing Young Reader' talks about the perception of young people towards reading books & how youth newspaper are undermining teen ager's passion for reading.

  • French Proficiency Test
  •       6 students of Class X passed the French proficiency test (DELF, level A2) conducted by the embassy of France on 20 May 2011. The names of the students are:

          a) Rishabh Anand      b) Palak Gakhar      c) Smita Pathak      d) Aditi Popli      e) Muskan Kakkar      f) Jagrit Gupta

  • All India Asteroid Search Campaign 2011
  •       Pragya Chawla of XII D & Aprajita Aggarwal of XI D participated in phase I of 'All India Asteroid Search Campaign 2011'. This project,under SPACE foundation is a collaboration with an international real time science initiative by "International Astronomical Search Collaboration" funded by NASA. On June 29th, Pragya Chawla & Aprajtia Aggarwal, together discovered the asteroid 'Trojan'. This discovery brought laurels to the school. The two girls alongwith their parents were welcomed by the SPACE group at their office. They were felicitated by the school on the World Youth Day on 12 August 2011. The girls have received extensive media attention for their rare discovery. They were also interviewed by Mr. Jaimon Joseph for the prestigious channel CNN-IBN which was aired on 2 September 11.

  • Online Essay Writing Competition
  •       Students of BBPS, GR Campus participated in online essay writing competition organized by Indian Society of Remote sensing (Delhi Chapter) and GIS lab.
           The results are as follows:


          a) Sanaya Mahajan (VII B) Ist position;
              Topic - 'Remote Sensing Technology for Everyday Life'.

          b) Sanchita Jain (X H) IInd position;
              Topic -'Serving Humanity through Space Technology'.

          c) Vibhor Arora (XII C) Ist position;
              Topic -'Space Technology's Contribution to Indian Success Story'.

  • Science and Mathematics Examination organised by FIITZEE
  •       The following students were awarded medals for Best in outstanding performance in Mathematics and Science Examination organized by FIITZEE.
          a) Animesh Mishra -> He got Bronze medal in Mathematics.

          b) Shaurya Mishra-> He got Bronze medal in Science and Silver Medal in Mathematics

  • Commerce Teachers Association (CTA)
  •        On 10 September 2011 Commerce Teachers Association (CTA) awarded Nandita Gupta for securing 95% and 100% marks in Business Studies and Accountancy in Class XII CBSE Exam 2011 respectively. The Business Studies teacher Ms Deepika Jain and the Accountancy teacher Ms Shailja Nagpal were also felicitated with the 'Teacher Competency Award'

  • Chairman of the National Progressive Schools
  •        The Principal, Mr L V Sehgal was elected as the Chairman of the 'National Progressive Schools' Conference (NPSC) on 28 September 2011.

  • CBSE Examination Committee
  •       The Principal, Mr L V Sehgal has been nominated as a member of Examination Committee of CBSE for a three year term.

  • Essay Writing students for German Students
  •       Berlin Brandburg International School Germany in collaboration with NEC International School, Mumbai, conducted an essay writing contest for German students in over 70 schools in India on 3 October 2011. The topic was 'School life in Germany & India–a Competition'. Reetinder Chowdhay, VIII A won the first prize. She will receive an award of 500€. she will also get a scholarship of 3000€ for the study of Berlin Brandburg International School, Germany. The following students received an honorable mention for the same contest:

    Students receiving honorable mention are eligible for the €3000 scholarship if the scholarship isn't taken by another student who finished higher on the contestant list.

  • All India Asteroid Search Campaign 2011
  • A felicitation ceremony to honour participants of All India Asteroid Search Campaign 2011 was held at the American centre on 14 October 2011. Aparajita Aggarwal (XI D) & Pragya Chawla (XII D) were felicitated for their rare Trojan asteroid discovery. 62 students of Delhi & NCR attended the function. The chief guest for the occasion was Mr Tin Neely, Chief of Environment & Science Affairs, Embassy of USA. The achievers were presented mementos & certificates by the chief guest.

  • Result of CBSE Proficiency Test
  • Students of class X (2010-2011) appeared for the proficiency test conducted by CBSE in July 2011. The result of the examination was declared in Nov 2011. Following students secured percentile rank =90 in various subjects

  • National level Drawing and Handwriting contest
  • 50 Students of Middle Department participated in a National level Drawing and Handwriting contest organized by the National Institute Kalabharati Child Art Development, Pune. Following students were awarded Gold Medals and Certificates:

  • 11th National Cyber Olympiad
  • Students of different departments participated in 11th National Cyber Olympiad. Following students got International rank below 500 and have qualified for level II examinations schedule for the month of February, 2012.

  • Inter-School Slogan Writing Competition
  • In the Inter-School Slogan Writing Competition organized by World Food Programme, India (WFP). Following students showed outstanding achievements: - Aashna Mahendru (VII A) has won the First Prize in category I - Muskan Mehta ( VII B) has won the Second Prize in category I - 72 students got consolation prizes. The students will be felicitated on 12 December 2011 at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) auditorium at UNDP- India, 55 Lodhi Estate, New Delhi.
