Guidelines for Parents

General Instructions

  • Ensure that your ward comes to school dressed in proper uniform.
  • Always write your ward's name, admission no. and class on every belonging of your child.
  • Intimate the school in case of any change in your address, telephone number(s) and e-mail address. This will facilitate school authorities to contact the parents in case of any emergency.
  • Instruct your ward to report at the school reception in case he/she has to remain in the school after 1.45 p.m.
  • Refer to the school website on regular basis for latest updates.
  • All Saturdays are non working days for students. However, students can be asked to report to school for remedial classes or co-curricular activities, whenever required.
  • School fees and other dues must be paid by the stipulated date in each quarter.

School Diary

The school diary is designed to act as a medium facilitating effective communication between parents and teachers. Its scope is, therefore, extended beyond that of a mere almanac and rule book.

  • Ensure that your ward brings the diary to school everyday.
  • Encourage him/her to note down the assignments carefully and regularly in the diary.
  • Check the diary regularly for any entries/circulars from the school. The diary may also be used by the parent/s for communicating with the teacher/s or school authorities.
  • Read the contents of the diary carefully.
  • Sign all the notes sent by the school.

Home Assignments

Regular homework assignments are given to students to reinforce the learning in school. Homework also helps to inculcate good study habits among students.

Parents must ensure that their ward:

  • Is regular in doing homework.
  • Does the homework neatly and on his own.
  • Submits the homework on time.
  • Refers to the school website for topic related assignments as well as for holiday homework.

Leave

  • All requirements of leave should be applied for in advance, except in case of emergency.
  • Parents are requested to fill up the leave application form given in the school diary.
  • Leaves during cycle tests and terminal exams are strongly discouraged.
  • Leave on account of illness during exams or otherwise will be granted only if a medical certificate for the same is submitted.
  • Holidays in addition to the regular term breaks should be avoided.

Medication

  • Parents must inform the class teacher in writing regarding the details of any medicine that their child needs to take regularly or if he/she is allergic to any drug.
  • Students suffering from contagious diseases should not be sent to school, till the mandatory period of quarantine is over.

Healthy Eating Habits

  • All students are expected to bring proper lunch and water bottle.
  • It is advisable to send healthy tiffin (green vegetables, seasonal fruits etc). Junk Food like wafers, burgers, and pizzas should be avoided.
  • School always discourages outside food although a few healthy snacks are available in the tuck shop.
  • Do not send any eatables for distribution on your ward's birthday.

Parent Teacher Meeting

  • Parent Teacher Meetings should be utilized as a platform to interact with the teachers to be well informed regarding the academic progress and behaviour of the child.
  • Schedule for the Meetings is given in the school diary. However, parents are also informed about the Meeting through SMS sent by the school.
  • Always try to reach the Parent Teacher Meeting venue well in time.
  • Adherence to time schedule of Meeting is desirable.
  • For meeting Principal\Staff on any other working day, the timings are as follows:

Mrs.Geeta Gangwani(Vice Principal) 8.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m.
Mrs. Anita Garg(Headmistress,Primary and middle departments,Ganga Ram) 8.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m.
Mrs. Mamta Malik(Headmistress,Pusa Road) 8.30a.m. to 9.30 a.m.
Class teachers and subject teachers -7.30a.m. to 8.10a.m.
-First and third Saturdays(with prior appointment)

School Transport

  • Interested parents may collect a schedule of bus timings and the bus stops from the transport incharge. (For information regarding bus routes, refer to the link "Transport" under "Infrastructure and Facilities".
  • Transport fee is payable for 11 months irrespective of the distance. The amount is to be deposited along with the school fee for every quarter.
  • The child will be taken back to the school if there is no one to pick him/her up at the stop.
  • Do not send anyone else to pick/drop your child without a proper authority letter that has been duly signed by you. It must also consist of your residence/mobile nos.
  • In case your child doesn't reach back at the scheduled time, contact the school reception.
